Aegis
The gods have warred, the titans are defeated, and the world is now in ruins. Some islands were protected by their patron gods, but most have been razed, the seas and land shifting from the battle. You have made your way to the Aegis, the centre of the world, to rebuild civilization after this calamity. Five factions offer different ideas on how this should occur, now you must help shape the future.
Aegis is an Ancient Greek fantasy game set in an alternate mythical history directly after the Titanomachy. It focusses on rebuilding society after a mythical apocalypse, re-establishing settlements, securing new borders, and establishing a new political leadership all while the new gods settle into Olympus and finish clearing the world of the Titan’s forces. You belong to one of the five fractured empires of Ilion, Atlantis, Movóros, Stygia, and Thrâix, each inspired by a different historical region or myth.
Development for this game began in early 2024 alongside our first Ancient Greek inspired game, Asphodel, and is intended to run after Asphodel’s first 3-part story arc. It is a faction based “mini fest” style game aimed to start with at least 50 players and scale comfortably to 100+ players, where players balance working together to rebuild society with prioritising their own faction’s agendas. All characters will be human, with a focus on blending historical-style outfits with more subtle fantasy elements. While the game contains fantastical elements and magic, it is much more low-fantasy than Asphodel.
A test game is being developed for sometime in 2026; if you’d like to join this project, get in touch directly via email to keith@fakeloregames.com
