Kleitos

  • The Champion
  • Daimon
  • Kleitos was born in the underworld and thus knows little of the world above.

  • Hades
  • - Kleitos and his half brother Ophelos are foresters, born and raised in the underworld by their doting mother Eurybia. Though they share the same mother, they both have different and now estranged fathers. Kleitos' father left before he was born, leaving his future son with only a small necklace as a memento. While Ophelos, the older of the two, often distrusts potential paternal figures in his life, naive Kleitos regularly seeks approval and reassurance given that he has always lacked an older male role model. The two brothers are devout followers of Hades; their god the only paternal figure who has made them feel valued and appreciated.

-The brothers spend their time hunting beasts in the underworld, but have also been tasked by Hades to prevent souls from crossing the river Styx and back to the earth world. The young men use charm and wit to keep souls in Asphodel, but have no qualms in resorting to violence if necessary.
    - Kleitos regularly fights great battles for his god. He is a champion and proudly bears scars and tattoos from his successful conquests. He actively seeks out combat, keen to challenge all of the strongest fighters and champions of other gods to prove his worth to Hades.
    - Kleitos has a shorter fuse than Ophelos, but his temper is easily soothed by the words of his brother. The two trust each other completely and are incredibly loyal; supporting each other without question.
-They are not naturally hostile, but know the dangers of the underworld. They are happy to receive new guests and introduce them proudly to their home and their god. Tensions would only arise when their loyalty is questioned, or offensive comments are made about their home, family or god.

  • Kleitos and Ophelos had a run in with Persephone at event 1. Due to her relationship with Hades, Kleitos reveres Persephone and sees her as a sort of mother figure. Thus, when Persephone shunned him, and all of daimon-kind when he approached her, Kleitos was left rather confused and with an incredibly bitter taste in his mouth. However, when she appeared before the brothers again, Kleitos did not bow and instead stood up to Persephone, explaining that they had been nothing but loyal followers and by cruelly casting them aside for their appearance and her perception of daimon-kind, the pair has lost all faith in her. Persephone considered their point, apologised and stated that she would honor them, send them to Elysium, give them whatever they wanted, but only if they were to deliver her the head of the villain that had deceived her and all the children of Asphodel. Such an act would surely prove their loyalty to her.
